This course is suitable for anyone in an operational, technical, or managerial role who work in (or intending to work in) an environment where H2S gas may be present. This includes within the oil and gas, petroleum, transportation, chemical processing, and mining industries.
The course provides an overview of the chemical properties, biological effects, detection, risk management and control.
Course Content:
- Identifying the common origins, specific locations and leak points and the potential hazards associated with H2S gas
- The properties, characteristics and behaviours of the gas.
- Applying risk management processes.
- Undertanding the symptoms of excess H2S gas in the human body
- Implementing procedures associated with the gas.
- Knowing the different types of gas detectors and methodology of gas monitoring.
Entry Requirements:
To successfully complete this course, you will need to have proficiency in reading and typing in English, as well as basic computer skills.
This course is fully online so you will need to have access to a computer, tablet or phone and have an email address to complete your registration.
